The complete fee schedule

Every fee we charge, for every tip from $1 to $200 — computed with the exact same formula our payment system uses. Two things make up the cost: TipTap's percentage (3% with a free account, 4% without) and Stripe's standard card processing (2.9% + $0.30), passed through at cost. The $0.30 is charged exactly once, which is why small tips carry a higher percentage than large ones. Standard payouts are free; an optional instant payout costs 1.5%, chosen (and paid) by the recipient, and isn't included below.

The simple average treats a $1 tip and a $200 tip equally, so the one-time $0.30 processing charge weighs heavily on it. The dollar-weighted average — total fees divided by total tips across the whole $1–$200 range — is closer to what a typical earner experiences.
