How does TipTap World work?
TipTap World lets you send a tip to a service worker with a tap, scan, or phone number — no app required. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and the recipient gets a link to claim their tip and cash out to a debit card or bank account.
I received a tip — how do I get paid?
When someone tips you, you'll get a text message with a secure link. Open it, choose where to send your money (debit card for an instant transfer, or bank account), and Stripe handles the payout. You can also create a free account to keep a higher share of every tip and cash out multiple tips at once.
How do I cash out?
From your tip link or your account dashboard, pick a destination — a debit card (instant) or a bank account (standard, 1–3 business days). Once your Stripe verification is complete, your funds are on the way. You can cash out a single tip or all pending tips in one payout.
What does it cost?
Sending a tip is free for the tipper. Recipients keep the large majority of every tip; a small platform fee covers processing and operating costs, and you keep an even higher share with a free account. See our Pricing page for the current details.
Are payments secure?
Yes. All payments and payouts are processed by Stripe, a certified PCI Service Provider. TipTap World never stores your full card number. Identity verification for payouts is handled directly by Stripe.
How do I get a refund or dispute a tip?
Tips are voluntary payments to real people, so they're generally final. If you sent a tip in error or believe something went wrong, email support@tiptap.world as soon as possible and we'll do our best to help.
How do I manage or delete my account and data?
You can update your account from your dashboard. To delete your account and associated personal data, email support@tiptap.world or privacy@tiptap.world from the address on your account and we'll process your request. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
Do I need to download the app?
No — TipTap World works entirely from a web link, so anyone can send or receive a tip without installing anything. The mobile app adds convenient extras like tap-to-tip with NFC.
